Upton Magna to Shrewsbury
One of the UK's fastest 10K routes returns in 2025!
The previous 3 years Races saw high numbers of participants smash their PB's along this beautiful route.
Starting up in the village of Upton Magna the race begins with a long stretch of down hill before joining the flat canal and riverside paths to the Quarry Park in Shrewsbury Town Centre.
This unique course is not only fast but also take in some beautiful scenary along the way.
This race was a sell out in 2023 and 2024 even with an extra 150 places so book early to avoid disappointment.

All finishers will recieve a special bespoke medal made from locally sourced wood and a Technical Running T shirt (additional charge).
Free Photo Downloads
On completion of the race you can celebrate your efforts at the Church Stretton Beer Festival which is situated at the Finish Line. Craft ales, music and delicious food will all be available.
Shuttle Bus &
Bag Transfer
A chargable bus service is available to the startline from Shrewsbury Town Centre. Buses can be booked at time of entry. There is also a free bag transfer service from the start line to the finish line.

Start Time: 10am
Facilities: Toilet, Bib and chip collection, Bag transfer to finish line.
Getting to the start
The startline is in the village of Upton Magna approximately 6 miles from Shrewsbury Town Centre. We highly recommend parking at one of the many car parks in Shrewsbury and getting the shuttle bus service from Shrewsbury Quarry to Upton Magna. Shuttle bus places can be booked on the entry site.
The Finish
Finish Location: Shrewsbury Quarry
Finish Line Closes: 12pm
Facilities: Toilets, First aid, Bag collection, Water point, Medal Collection
Getting home from the finish line
The Finish line is situated in the Quarry in the centre of Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury has plenty of car parks and good public transport services.
The route and terrain
This is a fast paced route which is predominantly all either downhill or on flat good quality roads, canal paths and footpaths.
